Is there something called Creative Fatigue? / by Joaquim Gonsalves

So a couple weeks ago I was really excited! A new experience in a style of shoot I hadn't done before.

Needless to say, I was very impressed and confident that I could actually start doing those types of shoots too. Big thanks to Vishnu Valsan aka @down_trodden

But right after I delivered the images on that shoot, I was inspired to re-prioritize.
My activities that is. It was anyway in the pipeline.

In the process though, I don't know what happened.

It didn't seem like the cliched 'creative block.' (I believe that is a myth) I went on this spree of binge watching some top class TV format shows, movies and listening to music.

Could it have also been the stress at work? I don't really know.

What do you feel? Was it a good idea to stop working and relax (and given my career interests in film and TV, get new inspiration)?

Most importantly, Did I just break an unspoken rule that a creative/an entrepreneur never takes a break? Or do they mean 'seldom?'

Do you also go through such phases? How do you tackle them? Engage in the comments below if you'd like.

Thank you so much once again for your time. Truly appreciate it!
